The Vision, The Mission and The Objectives of the College of Agriculture - University of Kirkuk

College Mission

The Faculty of Agriculture/Kirkuk University seeks to advance and excellence through research, development, education, counseling and training for agricultural sciences and its applications to contribute to achieving sustainable development of agricultural and human resources capable of competition locally, regionally and globally to meet the requirements of development plans, labor market needs, and support ways of cooperation and communication with various academic institutions at the local and Arab level.

Vision of College

The college consists of providing high-quality academic programs for the stages of bachelor's and graduate studies (Master- PhD), using advanced technologies in the agricultural fields and promoting knowledge associated with sustainable development of human, natural and agricultural resources on the local and global range.

College Objectives

1- Achieving excellence in the cognitive product in a way that meets the requirements of various agricultural fields and is in line with the current global trends.
2- Preparing qualified qualifications for a distinguished academic qualification in various fields, capable of facing problems and creating appropriate solutions and able to contribute to decision-making and prepare for competition in the labor market through the educational, training and research programs offered by the college characterized by quality and creativity.
3- Improving the education system in line with quality content by providing an encouraging environment and supporting the teaching and learning processes.
4- Permanent evaluation and improvement of academic programs for the two bachelor’s degrees and graduate studies to enhance their connection and in line with the requirements of economic development and in response to the requirements of the local and global labor market to increase employment opportunities for college graduates.
5- Encouraging scientific research through multidisciplinary research groups, stimulating and involving the sectors of agricultural production, private sector and private institutions in financing and supporting scientific research projects, benefiting from their outputs and results, and close cooperation with local and international research centers in accordance with the priorities of research problems in the state plan.
6- Spreading environmental awareness and modern technologies in the field of sustainable management of agricultural resources.
7- Preparing cadres of higher degrees (masters and doctorates) to provide other universities and relevant government departments.
8- Effective employment and maximizing the benefit of all available resources in a manner that is compatible with the programs of the academic, development and research college.
