Afforestation Unit
Towards a Sustainable Green Future
The Afforestation Unit at the College of Agriculture was established in 2023 in response to environmental changes and the university community's need for an entity responsible for raising awareness about afforestation, promoting green environment culture and sustainable development in both the university and the community, and increasing green spaces inside and outside the university through continuous voluntary campaigns conducted by the Afforestation Unit. The unit is managed by agricultural engineer Umaima Abdulsamad Hassan.
Vision
Understanding the current state of green spaces in the university and selecting optimal methods for their maintenance.
Mission
Raising awareness about the importance of afforestation, its benefits for the community environment, and the value of sustainable development.
Goals
Transforming universities into green spaces that serve as role models and creating beautiful gardens to make the university environment suitable for students, in addition to the Afforestation Unit's role in the following:
