Student Activities Division

The Student Activities Division was established since the founding of the college in 2005. This division is responsible for all sports activities held by the college, including five-a-side football tournaments, as well as participating in all tournaments organized by the Student Activities Department at the university presidency, in addition to contributing and supporting the awareness and volunteer committees carried out by students and civil organizations, including cleaning Streets, planting trees, and other charitable works.

Human Resources Division

The Human Resources Division was established with the founding of the college in 2005. The importance of the Human Resources Division lies in its being responsible for organizing and managing the college’s scientific and administrative cadres by organizing promotions, promotions, and bonuses, as well as vacations of all kinds, as well as addressing state departments with official letters, as well as keeping files related to the college’s scientific and administrative cadres.

 

Quality Assurance Division

The importance of the division:

The Quality Assurance Division aims to adopt mechanisms to follow up and evaluate performance in all of the college’s educational, research, and service activities in light of the standards of the National Authority for Educational Quality Assurance and Accreditation in order to achieve the college’s mission and goals.

Tasks of the Quality Assurance Division:

-Developing the organizational and administrative structure of the division and approving it by the College Council
-Organizing and holding workshops, training courses, meetings and meetings with various groups in the college, the graduate and the external beneficiary to spread the culture of quality.
- Follow up on the preparation of documents for the program files (recruitment and reports on courses and programmes) in accordance with the requirements and forms of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, fulfill all items contained in the forms, benefit from the results of students’ evaluation of the course and programme, and activate the proposed improvement plans.
- Preparing flyers, posters, advertisements, and brochures regarding disseminating and promoting the culture of the college
-Preparing questionnaires for different groups in the college, graduates, and external beneficiaries
-Discussing quality issues for the college council, main committees, and department councils
-Preparing self-studies/annual reports for the college and developing improvement plans
- Preparing all documents and reports (approved and notarized) at the Division’s headquarters in preparation for the visit of the National Authority for Educational Quality Assurance and Accreditation
-Developing and implementing mechanisms to follow up on the college’s activities in the three sectors
- Study the training needs of faculty members, support staff, and administrators, develop training plans to develop their capabilities, and prepare reports to follow up on these plans.
- Activating the role of the internal audit committee and external auditors (in the scientific departments and the quality assurance division) and documenting the audit reports and sending them to the university’s quality assurance office.

Legal Division

It is one of the main administrative divisions in the College of Agriculture, and reports directly to the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

Objectives of the Legal Affairs Department

  1. The Legal Affairs Department seeks to achieve justice among college staff according to laws, regulations, and instructions.
  2. The Legal Affairs Department provides legal protection for the college and defends it before courts and judicial authorities.

Duties and Tasks of the Legal Affairs Department

  1. Providing legal consultations to the college departments.
  2. Giving legal opinions on correspondence related to legal affairs and other matters.
  3. Participating in the Student Disciplinary Committee formed in the college in accordance with the Student Disciplinary Instructions in Higher Education and Scientific Research Institutions No. 160 of 2007, in addition to participating in the disciplinary committees for state employees.
  4. Participating in investigative committees formed in the college.
  5. Participating in investigative committees formed by the University Presidency/Legal Affairs Department through preparing their minutes and submitting them to the University Presidency and the Ministry for approval.
  6. Validating contracts concluded by the college.
  7. Validating scholarships and educational commitments inside and outside Iraq.
  8. Validating loans for teaching staff and advances for employees.
  9. The Legal Representative of the college is responsible for following up with police stations and competent courts in cases filed by the college against others and vice versa.
