Workshop at the University of Kirkuk on Dual-Use Chemicals

Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and supervised by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, the Chemical Safety and Security Unit at the College of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Division, organized a workshop on dual-use chemicals. The event was attended by faculty members and students.

Dr. Dhikra Ahmed Hassan, Head of the Chemical Safety and Security Unit at the college, clarified that the workshop aimed to educate participants on mechanisms for controlling the dual use of chemicals. This requires integration of laws, monitoring, awareness campaigns, international cooperation, and scientific research to ensure these chemicals are used solely for peaceful purposes and to prevent any illegal exploitation.
