Kirkuk University Lecturer Joins First National Conference of Iraqi Scholars Abroad.

Dr. Saad Ali Mohammed Hussein, a faculty member in the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, participated in the First National Conference for Alumni of Iraqi Scholarship Programs, held at Al-Hakim Hall, University of Baghdad.

Dr. Hussein, who holds a Ph.D. from the United States of America, explained that this pioneering conference was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-AboudiMinister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the following objectives:

  • 1- Strengthening Communication: Foster dialogue between scholarship recipients and decision-makers to unify visions and enhance collaboration.

  • 2- Empowerment: Enable alumni to assume leadership and administrative roles, contributing to national capacity-building and institutional development.

  • 3- Scientific Advancement: Leverage scholars' expertise to elevate the quality of scientific research and enrich Iraq’s academic environment.

  • 4- Integration: Engage returning scholars in teaching, postgraduate supervision, and thesis evaluations to maximize their impact on higher education.

Dr. Hussein emphasized that the conference underscored the critical role of scholarship recipients in driving national development and advancing Iraq’s educational and research infrastructure.
