University of Kirkuk Hosts Workshop on Accreditation Standards for Agriculture College Programs.

Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, the College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk hosted a discussion workshop on the qualitative requirements for obtaining program accreditation for agricultural college departments. The event was organized by the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division of the college and attended by representatives and members of program accreditation committees from eight colleges within the University of Kirkuk.

The workshop featured a lecture by Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab Abdul Razzaq Saeed, Head of the Agriculture Colleges Accreditation Council at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He outlined:

  1. Application requirements for program accreditation.

  2. Steps of the accreditation process, including timelines and benchmarks.

  3. Documentation needed for each program, such as compliance reports and evidence of meeting academic standards.

  4. Specific criteria for aligning curricula with national and international accreditation frameworks.

The session emphasized the importance of preparing comprehensive, transparent documentation to demonstrate adherence to quality standards and ensure successful accreditation outcomes.
