University of Kirkuk Organizes Awareness Seminar on the Importance of Technical and Vocational Education for Women

Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college organized an awareness seminar titled The Importance of Technical and Vocational Education for Women. The event was attended by the Dean and female faculty members.

The seminar included two lectures:

  1. Assistant Professor Nahla Kamal Asaad spoke on Women in Technical and Vocational Education: Towards a Bright Future – The Women of Kirkuk as a Model.

  2. Assistant Professor Basira Abdullah Ahmed addressed Women in Education: Between Institutional Neglect and the Pursuit of Self-Affirmation.

The seminar aimed to highlight the pivotal role of women in society, emphasizing their growing presence in all professional fields, active engagement in politics, and assumption of leadership positions in the state. It underscored the need to empower women through technical and vocational education to enhance their contributions to national development.
